SimpleLotto support
Help for the counter, written around the task.
SimpleLotto keeps sales, physical lottery inventory, shift closing, and customer displays connected without mixing their accounting roles.
Daily workflow
Inventory correction and bin return
These actions have different purposes. Neither action erases recorded sales, activation history, closed shifts, or audit history.
| Where | Action | What it changes | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inventory → Receiving / Available | Correct Inventory Record | Deletes the selected stock record that should not exist. | An unopened bundle was received by mistake, or a returned available-inventory record is incorrect. |
| Inventory → Open / Active | Return to Available Inventory | Removes the bin placement and puts the bundle back into available inventory while preserving its current ticket, sold-out state, and previous bin. | The physical bundle was removed from that bin but remains store inventory. |
A returned bundle can be assigned to a bin again by scanning its saved current ticket. Reassignment does not create another sale or activation event. Both actions require confirmation and are written to Audit.
Remote Display system
Remote Display is the customer-facing companion for SimpleLotto. SimpleLotto remains the source of truth; the display receives a rendered view of the current bins and games over the store’s local network.
- Connect the display device.Connect its screen and place it on the same local network as the Windows counter.
- Read its address. The unregistered display shows the host and port needed by SimpleLotto.
- Register it.Open Settings → Scanner and Display, enter the display address, and select Register Rdisplay.
- Confirm live state.Use Refresh Screen if needed. Game images are cached on the display and ticket-position changes are sent from SimpleLotto.
Prepare a new display card
Managers can open Settings → Scanner and Display → Flash rDisplay SD Card to prepare a card for a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5. This preview feature requires internet access, a current license, a card reader and Windows administrator approval.
Select the card carefully and confirm that all its data may be erased. SimpleLotto downloads and verifies the image, writes the card and checks the result. Keep the card connected until verification finishes, then safely eject it. Connect the Pi by Ethernet for its first startup. If preparation fails, follow the displayed message before retrying; a partially written card must be flashed again before use.
Existing display registrations and normal counter workflows continue to work. SD-card reader compatibility and Pi startup verification are still being completed.
How licensing works
Licensing is tied to the product and the Windows installation. SimpleLotto and DisplayOnly are separate products even when they use the same Remote Display system.
If the internet or license service is unavailable
A temporary connection failure does not replace a previously authorized result. SimpleLotto keeps an offline renewal window of up to seven days after its last successful authorization, unless the subscription entitlement itself has ended. If authorization or the subscription is no longer valid, operational workflows lock, but Settings and Check License remain available for recovery.
What a license check sends
The check identifies the product and installation using the registration ID, installation ID, application version, platform, and cryptographic proof. After authorization, the configured store name and address may be synchronized through the protected license-information path. License checks do not send Manager or Clerk PINs, sales records, inventory records, display tokens, or email passwords.
When a license is locked
- Open Settings → Store and copy the displayed registration ID.
- Confirm the computer has internet access.
- Select Check License after the registration or subscription has been updated.
- If it remains locked, send the registration ID and the visible status message to support. Do not send PINs or email passwords.
Still need help?
Include the product name, the visible status message, and what you were trying to do. Never send a Manager PIN, Clerk PIN, scanner token, display token, or email password.
